Pancake lover here and lucky for you I’m sharing my brand-spankin’ new pancake recipe. This recipe is for chocolate pancakes that you can eat for breakfast! Chocolate for breakfast, sign me up, because you can enjoy these babes completely guilt-free. In this recipe, I used raw cacao which is LOADED with nutrients like antioxidants and B vitamins, the perfect energy boost. This recipe is also 100% gluten free, soy free (as everything on my blog is), and refined sugar free.

I promise your entire fam will LOVE these ‘cakes. Plus a bonus for you is that these pancakes are so simple to whip up that you can throw these together in less that 5 minutes!


Raw cacao is loaded with antioxidants and B vitamins, so these ‘cakes are an amazing energizing breakfast!


Top these lovely ‘cakes with some delicious fresh fruit, almond butter, chocolate chips, coconut whipped cream, and/or maple syrup, for some serious decadence.


Chocolate Pancake Recipe


Ingredients

1/2 cup oat flour
1 cup buckwheat flour
1/3 cup raw cacao
1 teaspoon baking powder (*aluminum-free)
1 cup coconut milk (canned)
1 egg
1/4-1/2 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

In a medium sized bowl, whisk together flours, raw cacao, and baking powder.

Add in the coconut milk and egg and almond milk whisk together, until mostly smooth.

In a pan, melt coconut oil, spoon in your pancake batter, I aim a bit less than 1/4 cup of batter per pancake. Cook until you see there are bubbles and they are popping. Flip and cook until golden. About 3-4 minutes per side.

Serve with any toppings you’d like!
